First a look, then a price
Estimating a renovation without having seen the space is guessing. So with us it always starts with a survey, and only after that with a quote.
Call or message
You say briefly what needs doing and what kind of building it is. We say straight away whether it is work we do.
Survey on site
We come and look and measure up. That is when we also see the things a photo does not show: the height, the pipework, the state of the substrate.
A quote per part
You get the price broken down, so you can choose what goes in and what does not. No figure at the bottom of the page without you knowing what it is made of.
Planning
We set out the order of the work and agree when we start. With a shop that order decides how long the door has to stay shut.
Carrying it out
We do the job ourselves. If something turns out differently than expected, you hear it at the moment itself and not with the final bill.
Handover
Left clean, and walked through together. Whatever is not right yet, we put right before the job counts as finished.
Why one company for everything
Most renovations do not come unstuck on the craft, but on the handovers. The tiler can only start once the plumber is done, the painter once the plasterer has gone, and as soon as one of them shifts, the rest shifts with it.
If one company does all those parts, that handover disappears. There is no discussion about who is waiting on whom and who left something behind, because it is the same firm. That is why we work this way, and why there is one number you call.
Frequently asked questions
What does a renovation cost with you?
We deliberately put no guide price on this site. Two bathrooms of the same size can differ by a factor, depending on what has to happen behind the tiles and on what you choose.
We come and look, measure up and break the quote down part by part. Then you see where the money goes and you can take parts off it yourself.
Can I have just one part done?
Yes. Only the tiling, only the painting or only the electrics is perfectly fine. Our strength is in the whole renovation, but hiring one trade on its own is no problem.
Can we stay in the building during the work?
Usually you can. We then work with dust screens, clear up every day and split the job so a bathroom or kitchen stays usable for as long as it can.
It often makes the job a little longer. You hear that up front, with the quote.
Who arranges the materials?
Either way works. If you pick the tiles, the sanitaryware or the floor yourself and have it delivered, we work with that. If you want us to arrange it, we put it on the quote.
At the survey we agree who orders what, so nothing falls between two stools.
How long does it take?
That depends on the size of the job and on what turns up behind the walls. We put a schedule in days or weeks with the quote, and keep you posted during the work if it shifts.
Is the rubble taken away?
Whatever we strip out, we take away. Whether that sits in the price or comes separately on the quote depends on the size of the job, and it is always stated.
Do I get a quote in writing?
Yes, broken down part by part. Additional work goes in writing too, so the final bill is not a surprise.
